A research and development team focusing on core algorithms of NAND application and SSD reliability and performance.
1.Participate in designing the next generation SSD architecture by holistically researching the algorithm, software, and hardware components.Research novel storage algorithms on SSD controller that will extend the life time, improve the performance, and decrease the power consumption of SSDs.
2.Research on redesigning the storage system that provides higher bandwidth, lower latency and optimum TCO/performance tradeoff for Ali Cloud.
3.Research and explore the application of emerging storage media and storage class memory to fill the gap between the memory and storage on modern computation and storage systems to provide extraordinary data access performance.
Algorithm and Architecture (have expertise on at least one of the following):
1.Have theoretical and practical knowledge on the key algorithms on SSD controller such as NAND signal processing, LDPC, and FTL. Be familiar with the hardware and software architecture of the enterprise level standard/open channel/ZNS SSD controllers.
2.Have experience in designing and optimizing storage related algorithms such as machine learning, compression, erasure codes, deep learning, and so on.
3.Have strong background on the application, characteristic, and behavior of emerging storage media such as MRAM, FeRAM, PRAM, etc.
4.Have domain knowledge on the architecture of modern distributed storage systems and file systems.
Hardware (is a plus):
1.Experience in designing domain specific architectures.
2.Can make architecture and micro-architecture trade-offs between performance, area and power.
3.Can write hardware description languages such as Verilog.Experience in using logic and physical design tools.
4.Experience in hardware implementation of complex algorithms such as LDPC decoder and LZ compression.
